Yizkor Book Information

Dear Friend,

The High Holidays will be here soon, and this year we are once again pleased to offer the Shir Chadash Yizkor book. The book also serves as a fundraiser for us every year. When we, the living, honor our loved ones who have died by giving tzedakah in their names, we do our part to ensure that – in a very real sense – the synagogue community is upheld by the fond memories of those who loved and supported it. We can reach into the past for the religious sustenance we need now in order to achieve the future. This is, in a sense, one of the major themes of the High Holidays.

If you would like to include any names for the 2023-2024 Yizkor Book, please fill out the enclosed card [see below] and return it to the synagogue office or submit them online at shirchadash.org/form/yizkor5784.

If you had names in the book last year and would like them to remain the same, please indicate on the card or online, “Same as last year”.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All cards must be received by mail, in person, or online, by Wednesday, August 30, 2023 and must be accompanied with payment. Any names, old or new, arriving after the deadline will not be included in the Yizkor Book.

We require a minimum donation of $25.00, which includes the printing of two names and $5.00 for each additional name. Make checks payable to: Shir Chadash Conservative Congregation.
