Shir Chadash Conservative Congregation holds Mensches & Merriment ‘fun’raiser on November 5th

Shir Chadash Conservative Congregation presented its annual fundraiser  Mensches & Merriment on Sunday, November 5 before a crowd of more than 180 attendees.

According to President Peter Title “This was an extraordinary and wonderful event, successful beyond our projections from a financial point of view and equally important, visually beautiful and fun!”  

This event included a Reception followed by a Seated Kosher Dinner catered by Dvash Catering. Entertainment was provided by The Top Cats. A Silent Auction and Raffle was held. The Raffle winners were Charisse and Mark Sands, Moises and Martha Yoselevitz, Tana and Rene Coman, and Eileen Wallen.

This celebration honored nine congregational ‘Mensches’ who have contributed for many decades to Shir Chadash. The special honorees are Drs. Fran and Barry Ivker, Diane and Mark Schleifstein, Rochelle Sackett, Janice and Dr. Louis Stern z” l, and Judge Miriam and Bruce Waltzer. 

This ‘Mensches and Merriment’ fundraiser was co-chaired by Barbara Kaplinsky and Carole Cukell Neff. Committee Chairs are Elissa Bluth, Tana Coman, Sylvia Finger, Leslie Fischman, Joyce Golden, Esther Hendler, Harriet Hillson, Dashka Roth Lehmann, Carol Newman, Mark Rubin, Charisse Sands, Peter Title, Sheryl Title, Eileen Wallen and Liz Yager. Committee Members are Diane Africk, Benay Bernstein, Sue Rae Brown, Cindy Denn, Lisa Finkelstein, Deena Gerber, Beth Hershberg, Lis Kahn, Ellen Kessler, Pat Klein, Ronda Kottle, Steven Lew, Sarah Lustig, Helena Nathan, Jan Miller, Madilyn Samuels, Natalie Seltzer, Sue Singer, Chaviva Sands, Josh Sands, Karen Sher, Laurie Sterbcow, Ricardo Totah, Ellie Wainer, Debra Weber and Robert Witrock.
