Shir Chadash Conservative Congregation presents “SILVER CELEBRATION WITH SONG”, on November 16 honoring 25 years of Shir Chadash since the union of Tikvat Shalom and Chevra Thilim.

According to Gala Chair Dashka Roth Lehmann, “It will be an evening of fine cuisine, music and friendship, all to support the important work of Shir Chadash Conservative Congregation.”

The celebration begins at 5:30 pm with a reception in the Sukkah including hors d’oeuvres as well as libations courtesy of the Franco Family Foundation.  It will be followed by a program, dinner by Dvash Catering, an auction and music by The Boogie Men.

The program will feature a “Do You Remember” Game Show facilitated by former Tikvat Shalom President Leopold Sher and former Chevra Thilim President Sandy Lassen and moderated by Briann Shear. 

Shir Chadash was originally founded in 1960 and is the only Conservative Synagogue in the Greater New Orleans area.  It is a vibrant, egalitarian, traditional synagogue, open to all.
